Rocking the Daisies/In The City

I had an incredible experience working at Daisies this year. Ended up shooting content for Seed Experiences as well as Jeremy Loops, Hog Hoggidy Hog, Grassy Spark & Kings Down South

We went up with KDS to shoot a music video. We met at Audi at 6am and shot some pretty epic stuff on the road. I think we broke about 80 road rules on the way. Anything to get the shot right? They played that friday night at the Hemp Stage with our friends from GreenPop.

The Hogs performance was particularly emotional as it was the last time they are ever going to be on stage. I stood on the side with my tripod and shot the whole thing with tears in my eyes.

Grassy played to a massive crowd on Sat afternoon (see photo below). It was quite wonderful that Mike from PHfat joined them for the cover of 'Lights Out'. The crowd lost their minds. Really proud of this band and how much work has gone into making them a success would exhaust even the most active of human beings. The journey their on is incredibly promising. I do as much as I can for them because I see the dedication and deep desire to make something of themselves. I want to do anything I can to make them achieve greatness.

I do want to mention how incredible Felix Laband's set was on friday eve too. All he has to do is press play and you are immediately transported into a trancelike state. His music is SO unique. I had such a boogie with my Popsicle homies. Won't forget that one for a long time.

On Sunday at 3am I left Daisies with Grassy to hit up JHB Vodacom in the City festival where we got to hangout with and meet The Cat Empire & Milky Chance. After 1hrs sleep on the plane I was totally exhausted but managed to capture some pretty cool images of the bands playing.

I can't believe we have to wait one whole year for Daisies again. My favourite festival hands down.
